A reminder about April 22, 2023 Earth Day at Lonely Worm Farm:
March 22, 2023
We went to the Lonely Worm Farm.
Mike Sweeney drove us there.
We met Jeff, Elana, and Soma there
I saw the tiny compactor there.
I helped water the flowers in the green house to help the garden.
They are building that house in that big pit.
I heard that jackhammer noise on the backhoe.
The backhoe was cutting rocks.
I saw the dump truck that was dumping soil.
It dumped the soil into that backhoe bucket.
Jeff talked about the flower boxes.
Ben is going to help build them.
We walked in that labyrinth.
It was a big circle.
Soma showed me a book he was looking at.
It was a hero book about Donald Duck.
It had all pictures.
We walked on the trail in the woods.
Some places were easy, and some places were hard.
The hill is very steep.
Elana told me “Do not go near that fence. You would get very shocked.”
It was very quiet in the woods.
I heard birds calling.
The ground was very wet.
I walked on a log to get over wet water.
I saw a yurt there.
It’s like a teepee.
Someone can play in there, and cook, and sleep in there.
I saw a fire box in the yurt.
It’s like a stove.
I saw a guitar in the yurt.
It’s a six string.
They had no guitar case.
What a bummer.
They need to buy one.
I saw goats there.
They ran away.
I saw chickens there and a rooster.
We ate our lunch there outside.
It was sunny and warm.
After the farm we drove to Home Depot.
We tried to look for goggles there, but they did not have the right size goggles.
We need goggles to try to do work on the farm.
When we got home, we tried on the clear goggles we have.
They fit over my glasses so I can use them.
It was a good day.
