My wife, myself, and many friends (Staff, CommHab Workers, Community Members, Neighbors…) are building a better life for Dustin at Endeavor21+ Foundation. It is an “Integrated Self-Direction Community” located 23 miles from the George Washington Bridge in Rockland County, NY, and we are just 1 mile from the New Jersey/NY border. Our foundation started in the 1920’s with the Threefold Educational Foundation. Otto Specht School started the Special Needs movement on the Threefold campus some 20 years ago, and now we have E21+ for young adults to find:
WORK, EDUCATIONAL, VOCATIONAL, AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR PEOPLE IN AN INTEGRATED LIVING COMMUNITY
After four years, E21+ has a great staff in Gyana, Rosie, Jeanette, Mayuko, and many instructors that guide Dustin and his friends. My only role at E21+ these days is to lead the “Friday Hike”. It’s a really fun 3 mile country walk, and here are some pictures from today’s hike:
We start at “The Meeting House”:
Then we head to The Farm:

Threefold Cafe
We finish up by picking up lunch at Threefold Cafe, open to all!
Part II is building the 24/7/365 community and we have many families that have purchased houses within walking distance to campus. There is no way that I can do that without my “Israeli Twin Sister”, Ora Sucov. She is building the “kibbutz” that I can hopefully explain soon. I am still learning:

This is wonderful! You're showing us all how to build a future for our loved ones.
Dustin, you and his mother, and your community make my heart sing.
